Scum and Villainy is a standalone science fiction role-playing game based on the Forged in the Dark system. At the center is a spaceship crew trying to survive under the iron rule of the Galactic Hegemony, perhaps even becoming rich, famous, or infamous along the way.
As a crew of smugglers, bounty hunters, rebels, or fortune seekers, you take on risky jobs, negotiate with powerful syndicates, get caught between rival noble houses, encounter strange aliens, and mysterious forces beyond known science. Ruins of forgotten civilizations promise profit if you survive long enough to collect it.
But the greatest challenge often remains the crew itself: Can they hold together until the big coup succeeds?
