Encounters at a Glance: Into the Wild - Weather Cards
Weather is more than just background atmosphere. Dense fog can make navigation difficult, intense heat can turn a journey into an ordeal, and a sudden thunderstorm can completely change the group’s plans.
The Into the Wild Weather Cards include 40 weather events that can quickly be incorporated into ongoing adventures. Each card combines an evocative description with concrete effects on the journey. The weather can provide advantages as well as cause new problems.
Some events affect the entire group, such as strong winds, a heat wave, or poor visibility. Others create personal moments, for example when a single character becomes hypothermic or is otherwise affected by the conditions.
Thanks to the ready-made read-aloud texts, the cards can be used without preparation. The effects can also be easily adapted to D&D, Pathfinder, and other pen-and-paper roleplaying games.
