Basic Roleplaying RPG - Creatures
With Basic Roleplaying: Creatures, the Game Master receives an extensive collection of animals, monsters, alien beings, and non-player characters for D100-based roleplaying games.
The sourcebook contains more than 200 creatures and NPCs from a wide variety of genres and eras. In addition to real animals and prehistoric beings, it includes classic fantasy creatures, summoned beings, aliens, robots, and numerous characters for modern or historical adventures. This makes the volume suitable for fantasy and horror campaigns as well as for science fiction, mystery, or contemporary scenarios.
In addition, the book offers rules with which creatures can be individually customized or created entirely from scratch. These include, among other things, aids for familiars, megafauna, kaiju, villains, and harvesting creature parts. Detailed chapters on dragons, elves, giants, and dwarves also show how these beings can be used as playable characters.
The volume was developed for the Basic Roleplaying: Universal Game Engine core rulebook, but also includes guidance for use with other BRP-based systems such as RuneQuest, Call of Cthulhu, and Pendragon.
